Prabir Ghosh, the name doesn’t just symbolize a personality, but a phenomenon which sends chill down the spine of “godmen”, “faith-healers”, astrologers and similar traders of destiny and spiritualism. He vows to end the prevailing hegemony once and for all and is truly a living legend.
The originator of Contemporary Rationalism as a school of thought, Prabir Ghosh has championed the cause of the down-trodden and is the mastermind in spreading the movement especially in the South Asian countries.
The founder and the present Secretary General of the Science and Rationalists’ Association of India (SRAI), he is known for his fierce campaign against the superstitions which are prevalent in societies all across the globe. He has waged a lifelong campaign to expose “famous” imposters. A very striking part of his crusade is the open challenge he has of US$62,500 to all those people who claimed that they had supernatural powers in them. So far more than 1500 astrologers and “godmen” had either fled or suffered a disgraceful defeat in facing up to it.
No wonder, there hadn’t been a red carpet welcome from all corners. Prabir Ghosh has so far survived no less that 20 international attempts on his life. But that’s not just enough to bring him down, and his battle continues with a greater momentum.

Prabir Ghosh has so far authored over 30 Bengali-language best sellers, including classics such as ‘Nothing Supernatural’ and ‘Why I Don’t Believe in God’.
One of his very famous victories was against the Vatican City when they decided to bestow “sainthood” to Mother Teresa posthumously on the basis of a fraudulent claim of “miraculous power”. Prabir Ghosh stopped the Vatican almost single-handedly. News agencies like BBC, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, American Broadcasting Corporation, German Broadcasting Corporation, The Independent, New York Times, Time, Le Monde, PTI, AFP, Reuter, AFP, AP and many more had cover and broadcasted his views. His e-book “The Mystery of Mother Teresa and Sainthood” reveals the entire story for the first time. Click UniqueEbook.com to read more.
In 1994, a production banner named Eagle and Eagle Ltd which is based in London came up with a documentary film. The film was named as “Guru Busters” and was broadcasted over the Channel4 International of UK. This documentary film was shown in almost 40 countries and was translated into many languages so that it could be displayed around the world. Prabir Ghosh and his association played an important role in the film, which had ‘Rationalist Movement in India’ as its basic theme.
