Astrology in the Indian minds

Bachchans

With reference to the article published…

“Stars in their eyes, Indians bark up the wrong banana tree” reads a report from Amrit Dhillon, published in ‘The Age’ on 24th. March, 2007.

Prabir Ghosh, the most illustrious and celebrated rationalist of the world speaks out about the marriage of Aishwarya Rai, a celebrated actress to a Banana Tree! Yes, a banana tree!! No, that wasn’t in the reel but in real. She did so under advice from an astrologer because she was a “Manglik”. Manglik is the position of stars in a particular person’s horoscope and any one who marries such a person will fall sick or may die young.

Another concern is that there are some famous names who had begun to add an “a” to their names, again because their astrologers had advised so. Shobha De who is India’s Jackie Collins now makes herself Shobhaa De and a well known politician ‘Jayaram Jayalalitha’ has now become ‘Jayaram Jayalalithaa’. This again has completely swept Ghosh of his feet.

Kolkata the place of work of Prabir Ghosh has some television channels which are completely dedicated to astrology. He feels that now the astrologers have managed to take on the television screen and are selling all the rubbish that they usually do. He also speaks about his own experience, where in spite of his sincere advice; a politician frequently visited an astrologer.

Looks like the Indian minds have stuck to their stars.

I’m not surprised at these post, I myself was caught up into believing loads of rubbish, astrological and other and now after researching these things and knowing the truth I am totally against the perpetrators of these lies.
